One comes across quite some things on the roads in Brussels. This morning on my way to work, I ran into our baker from around the corner. She was in a rush to get extra coffee for her business. From Bois de la Cambre in Uccle to the heart of the city of Brussels. It turned out to be the ideal moment for a two by two-wheeled chat.

On the morning of 12 May, several campaign groups and organizations presented a cake to the European Commission as a playful action to "congratulate" it on the seventh anniversary of the launch proceedings against the Belgian government over poor air quality. The campaigners also compelled the European Commission to base new air quality standards on the latest scientific and medical knowledge.

On March 6th 2023, Brussels became the European center of urban rainwater management for a short moment. London, Copenhagen, Paris and Brussels revealed their plans to avoid floods and sewage overflows. We hope that the information will live on after the conference, so don’t hesitate to view, review and share the different presentations.

Lot of news from the Brussels' urbanism front. Our eye fell on two items we followed from up close: the tower fetish in the European quarter and an automatic percentage of public - not yet social - housing to developments.

Between 25 September and 23 October 2021, 3,000 Brussels citizens participated in CurieuzenAir, the largest ever citizen science project on air quality in our capital. These are the results.

The inhabitants of Brussels are enthusiastic about mapping out air quality themselves. When the registration period for CurieuzenAir BXL ended on Sunday 13 June, the counter stood at 5.578.
